What is TSCM?

Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) also known as a “Bug Sweep” or Eavesdropping detecting, has been around since before the cold war. TSCM is a highly specialized service using special equipment to search for the presence of eavesdropping devices such as hidden microphones (bugs). Technicians help to identify existing security breaches and/or potential weaknesses in communications security.  Specialized equipment is also used to detect hidden cameras. Once any risks are detected or found, the technician will recommend corrective actions to neutralize the dangers.

Virtually anyone can have the misfortune of being a victim to spying. For companies that have executives leaving, Acquisitions, mergers, business expansions, new products, layoffs, or litigations involving lawsuits, they are vulnerable. For the average person it could be because of a cheating spouse, domestic or custody battle to name but a few.

Locations could be bathrooms, offices, Telecom rooms, Fax machines, phone lines, meeting rooms, bedrooms, intercom systems, Tanning and Gym areas, or hotels. Hidden Devices can be placed in many locations and seems unreal at times. Google eavesdropping devices sometime.
